Statement

was my latest obsession or passion. I got indulged with photography for last 1.5 months and have learned a lot in the time. You can find my shots in Flickr .However, for some reason it doesnot interest me any more and am quitting photography for an indefinite period.

In my “photography” life, I found something very interesting. I would phrase it as : “Poverty is very photogenic” . For any photographer, there is a cheap and very very easy way to impress the world by taking a few shots of poverty ridden peoples ( better if the person is an old man or lady or a young boy or girl ) in a very clumsy place, and most importantly the photo must be taken in BW . India probably has more billionaires than most countries of the world, but unfortunately the world denies to see the fact. It is only the poverty that everyone wants to see and so it is all the more easy for anyone to impress the world by his/her photographs.

I despise this act and promise never to take any shot that emphasizes the poor Indian peoples. I hope I will have a few peoples agreeing on me and even be happy if a few others also quit taking such snaps henceforth…
